Mountain lakes in Kyrgyzstan.
Flowing, fresh lake Kalkak (literal translation from Kyrgyz - paddle), located at an altitude of 3508 meters above sea level, is located in a small intermountain depression in interfluve of Tashlysu and Dzhangart, on northern slope of a large glaciation center in interfluve of Kyyche, Dzhangart and Akshiyrak, between northern slope of Kokshaal-Too ridge and southern slopes of Kuylyu-Too ridge in Jety-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region.
The area of the lake is 0.05 square kilometers, the length of the coastline reaches 0.9 kilometers. The length of the lake is 210 meters, the greatest width is 407 meters.
