The monumental sculptural and artistic composition, installed in the square in front of the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan, has a total height of 12 meters. On the pedestal is a composition that focuses on two figures of complex shape, which by its action symbolizes the birth of a new Khanate, the beginning of a new life, the triumph of freedom.
Kerey on the rights of the first khan of the Kazakhs is depicted sitting in the saddle, just removed from the khan's horse. Its internal energy personifies wisdom, creation, stability. Zhanibek Khan, depicted in full growth, personifies pride, strength and courage.
The composition also has a sculptural element of a banner rising high in the hands of the great khans. The total height of the bronze monument from the base to the crown of the banner is 12 meters. The total weight of the monument is 16.2 tons.

The monument is made of bronze. A symbolic place was chosen for the monumental and artistic composition - it was here in December 1997 that the heart of the new capital of independent Kazakhstan began to beat. Khans Kerey and Zhanibek are the founders of the Kazakh Khanate in the XVth century.
