Monument to Kuibyshev in Dushanbe.
Monument to the Soviet party leader, revolutionary Valerian Kuibyshev was erected at the beginning of the Kuibyshev Station Square, north of the railway station, located in the Shohmansur district on a small section of Rudaki Avenue from the Sadriddin Aini Square to the Station Square in the city of Dushanbe.
The monument was erected in 1937, the authors are sculptors D. D. and N. D. Strelyaev. The square is 400 meters long and 50 meters wide. The square is located between the buildings of the street of 4-storey residential and public buildings and, as it approaches the Railway Station Square, it ends with a sculpture by V. V. Kuibyshev on a high pedestal and a sculptural group of a Tajik family at the foot of the pedestal of the sculpture.
The entire territory of the park is landscaped. In the middle part of the square there is a cascade of pools with a fountain. Small cozy areas with benches, combined with carpet greenery, flowers and shrubs, have made the square a favorite place for citizens to relax.
The creation of the square was associated with the perpetuation of the memory of an active fighter for the establishment of Soviet power in Turkestan, including in Tajikistan V. V. Kuibyshev.
