“On the northern slope of the Kakshaal-Too Ridge within the specified limits there are 616 glaciers with a total area of 907.6 square kilometers. Valley glaciers predominate (36% of the number and 76% of the area). In second place are slope glaciers, in third place are flat-top glaciers. The westernmost part of the Kokshaal-Too Ridge up to the Kakshaal River Gorge in the east is a vast plateau about 4,300 meters above sea level, a remnant of an ancient peneplain.”

Glaciers in western part of Kokshaal-Too Ridge.
Ak-Baital valley glacier is located: upper boundary of glacier is located at an altitude of 4981 (Ak-Baital summit) and 4742 (Chaynik summit) meters above sea level, tongue of glacier is located at an altitude of 3946 meters above sea level, is located in western part of Kyzyl-Asker mountain range, on northern slope in western part of Kokshaal-Too ridge in Atbashi district of Naryn region.
The glacier in the upper reaches of the eastern part borders on the Jirganaktu glacier No. 84, 6.9 kilometers long, in the western with the Bolgandy glacier No. 88, 5.3 kilometers long. A river of the same name flows from the glacier, 5.9 kilometers long, which is the left tributary of the Kentor River.
The length of the Ak-Baital glacier No. 87 is 5.5 kilometers, the area reaches 6.17 square kilometers, the perimeter is 13.3 kilometers, the greatest width in the upper part reaches 2.4 kilometers. The sources of the glacier are in the main ridge of the Kokshaal-Too ridge.
