The ethno-historical complex "Kazyna" in the city of Shymkent was opened in 2015. The ethno-historical complex “Kazyna” occupies 76.4 hectares of the territory of the city of Shymkent. Central is the monument to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.
The monument is 15 meters high and consists of two woven arches with Kazakh national ornaments. The complex consists of historical, cultural and entertainment areas.
The main objects of the ethno-historical complex "Kazyna":
- the area "Nauryz",
- ethnographic village in the city of Shymkent,
- ethnographic park in the city of Shymkent,
- monument "Baidibek Bi"
- models of historical and architectural monuments of the Turkestan region,
- architectural compositions on the theme of the silk road of South Kkzakhstan,
- words of edification of Abai,
- Museum of local lore of the city of Shymkent,
- Ritual center in the city of Shymkent.

The ethno-historical complex “Kazyna” was built in the city of Shymket as part of the implementation of the program “Kazakhstan - 2050: One goal, Common interests, One future”, where the President noted that large cities should become urban centers of the country.
The appearance of the complex became part of the design of the city of Shymkent as the country's third metropolis. The task was set in such a way that Shymkent would strengthen its position for the development of regional and international tourism.
The complex consists of 27 historical and architectural monuments and compositions. In the very center of the complex is the architectural composition “The Great Silk Road” - this is the personification of the ancient trade route that ran from West to East and made a huge contribution to the development of culture, art, science and education, medicine.
