The western gate of Taraz is the end of the 20th century, located on the western entrance to the city, along the Tashkent - Shymkent highway. Built in 1997 to celebrate the 2000th anniversary. Architects N. Baekeev, S. Dembay, B.Sh. Musaev.
Gates - a single-span structure with a lancet shaped roadway arch. The openwork metal arch-farm is installed at a height of 13.8 m between high towers, completed by domes. The walls of the towers are plastered, the plinth is lined with polished red Cordai granite. The total height of the gate is 21.3 meters.
Two slabs of black polished granite are installed above the basement of the towers, on one of them is the text: "Taraz - Rukhani Bailigymyzdyn Altyn Dingega", on the other - the text of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the return of the city to its ancient name - Taraz.
