When you pass Maykain on the way from Pavlodar to Bayanaul, mountains will soon grow in front of you, resembling blue camel humps. At their foot will be a fork. A field tract road leading to the right will lead to Toraigyr Lake, into which, like a mirror, Akbet, in love, looks into it.
Asphalted road leads to the district center near the lake Sabyndykol - Bayanaulu. In its streets in bizarre chaos, nature itself scattered stones similar to large cakes. And figures of the most bizarre form surround him: there is a stone on the northern outskirts that looks like a huge ring, there is a stone that looks like a clown.
Under the centuries-old action of water, wind and temperature changes, various forms from cracking formed and weathering rocks. Everyone who passes through the mountains of Bayanaul, along its hiking trails, cannot but admire the statues of nature.
It seems that the giant sculptor worked here in immemorial times. Some of these sculptures by the imagination of people have long been spiritualized, introduced as characters in folk tales, legends. Employees of the Bayanaul tourist base, developing an eight-day trekking route “To places where legends were born”, included as many meetings as possible with the sights associated with folk traditions.
The tourist base itself is located on the banks of the most beautiful lake Zhasybay.
Old elders say that until the eighteenth century the lake was called Shoinkol for its resemblance to a cast iron for cooking. And its current name is associated with the name of Batyr Dzhasyby - one of the fighters for the national independence of the Kazakh people, who died and was buried not far from the lake.
And now his grave has been preserved - a mound covered with stones. The path along which descendants come to pay tribute to the hero’s memory does not overgrow. On a steep steep bank of Lake Zhasyby there is a cliff Horsehead.
Some argue that this is the batyr’s horse, mourning for the master, climbed a steep path to the mountain and petrified. The hiking trail in Bayanaul passes by the rounded, completely bare rock of Nayzatas (Spear Stone).
For the round shape and smooth surface, the tourists gave a rocky middle name - Bulka. If you look at it from Toraigyr Lake, the rock looks like a mammoth heavily settled on its hind legs. Wonderfully beautiful Kafarka Valley.
It has a lot of sun, under its life-giving rays a lasting impression leaves a combination of pine and birch forests. There are also freakish piles of rocks. But the cave Aulietas (Sacred Stone) is especially noteworthy. On the way to Kafarka from the Dzhambak valley to this cave, a radial exit through a small pass is made.
It is about 30 meters long and has three branches. In one of them - a small depression, in shape reminiscent of a cauldron. Cold and clear water is collected in it from the sweating walls. At one time, this natural phenomenon was cleverly used by mullahs to deceive believers, passing off this water as “sacred” and demanding sacrifices for it.
At the foot of Lake Toraigyr rises the peak of the Brave. The rock bears this name recently - from the fifties, when the mass development of tourism in the Bayanaul mountains began. The old name of the mountain is Serke-kotergen-tas (Stone, on which the goat is raised) or in abbreviated form - Serketas.
So they called her after the leader-goat (serke) carried to his nest. The highest mountain here is named after Akbet - Belolitsa. It is brighter than other peaks illuminated by the sun. In ¬ people, there are several legends associated with the name of the mountain.
Some, for example, argue that she was named so in memory of the beautiful Bayan. Others - that they began to call the mountain Belolitsa after Batyr Zhalantos hiding with a girl of extraordinary beauty on it. Still others say:
“The beauty Akbet Burkutbaeva lived in the aul stretched at the foot of the mountain. She loved the bold and radiant dzhigit, but they did not have to meet for a long time, she was sold for the old old Akimbek bai. The young beauty could not stand her bitter fate, on the wedding day she threw herself from a high mountain and crashed. Since then, the mountain has been called the name of the beautiful but unhappy beauty Akbet.”
Rock Hat in ancient times served as a guideline of the shortest road from Toraigyr Lake to Bayanaul. Kempirtas rock is visible from some elevated places, from the road from Toraigyr Lake to Jasyby Lake.
