The Al Quddus Mosque is located on the western side, 42 meters from the main administrative building of the Rakhmanovskiye Klyuchi sanatorium in the Katon-Karagai district of the East Kazakhstan region on the territory of the Katon-Karagai natural park.
The mosque, built at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, is the highest mountain in Kazakhstan. The 15-meter structure is made in the shape of an octahedron, which in Islamic culture is a symbol of prosperity, a sign of the unity and diversity of the world.
In the four corners of the mosque there are arched windows, which give lightness to the structure and fill the room with light. On both sides of the main entrance, the building is decorated with 17-meter minarets. The walls of the mosque are faced with red bricks combined with figured patterned masonry of yellow bricks specially brought from Khorezm.
Each brick is painstakingly carved by hand by famous Khorezm masters, the fifth generation of mosque builders.
