What are the new heights
Visible to you among the peaks
And what do the dawns do
Crossing your blue path
Substituting chest oblique rains "

The glacier of the Soviet climbers is located at an altitude in the ridge from 4378.8 to 3453 meters above sea level, is located in the upper reaches of the Turistov River, on the northeastern slope of the peaks of the Soviet climbers, in the Maloalmatinsky spur, on the northern slope of the Zailiyskiy Alatau ridge, on the territory of the Ile Natural Park -Alatau in the Medeu district of the city of Almaty.
In the basin of the Constitution River, which occupies the southern (middle) part of the basin, glaciers lie: Soviet climbers, Dmitriev, the Constitution and Toguzak. The glacier of Soviet climbers begins from a wide and highly elevated part located southwest of the peak of Sverdlovsk State University.
In the upper reaches it is a stunted species due to contraction, and in the lower part it is a wide strip of ice densely dotted with granite fragments. In fact, it is a separate part of the Dmitriev Glacier, located close to the south of the latter, it is separated in the head by a short rocky ridge, and in the area of the tongue by a large shaft of the middle moraine.
