"Not everyone who has broken his cap and proudly sat on the throne,
Actually rule the country is gifted "

Excursion to the ancient city of Minggepa.

The ancient settlement of Mingtepa (from Uzbek - “a thousand hills”, pronounced with the accent on the last syllable). Archaeologists are excavating the ruins of an ancient settlement, since 2012, the area of the ruins of the settlement was increased from 500 x 800 meters to 2100 x 1300 meters.
The results of the excavations tell us that on this land, more than 2,000 years ago, Minggepa was a temporary nomadic garrison fortress and the castle city and the largest city in the Fergana Valley. As a result of the excavations, the ruins of the workshops were opened, the rest of the western gates of the inner city and the cemetery near the eastern wall of the outer city.
Minggepa, located near the present city of Andijan in the south-east of Uzbekistan, at one time belonged to the territory of the ancient Central Asian state of Davan (Parkan, more precisely, Dayuan).
Soviet and Russian archaeologists have long identified it with the ruins of the city of Ershi - the capital of the ancient state of Davan, which existed on the territory of the Fergana Valley from the III century BC.
This opinion, in particular, was held by the authoritative researcher of cultures of Central Asia A.N. Bernshtam (1910 - 1956).
