Mineral springs of the Almaty reserve are located in collecting area Talgar at the height of 1850 meters over level to the seas. Waters 0.1 - 0.3 grams, radonic, hydrocarbonate and sulphatic, sodium and calcic with the general mineralization, on liter.
According to the conclusion of Institute of regional pathology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan these waters can be used in the medical purposes.
In the territory of the reserve there are a lot of other unique creations of the nature. In upper courses of the natural boundary "Pryamay chel" the biggest glacier about 3,5 kilometers long in Northern Tien-Shan is located.
It moves with a speed several tens of centimeters a year, and differs in the lowest arrangement at the height of 2400 meters above sea level among active glaciers of the region.
