The monument to the Bulantin battle is located next to the ancient necropolis of Uytas, 876 meters from the right (western) bank of the Baikonyr River, 16.5 kilometers southwest of the village of Baikonyr, 62.3 kilometers to the west and slightly south of the village of Karsakpai in the Ulytau district of Ulytau region.
The monument to the Bulantin battle was erected in honor of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate. The monument consists of 7 meters of a stele made of brass and marble. In the lower part, round shields are built on four sides.
In the upper part of the monument is a spear pointed upwards. There are 4 marble obelisks around the memorial stele, on which the names of more than three dozen heroes of the battle are carved. The author of the monument is the sculptor Shahibaben Seytkenov from the city of Zhezkazgan.
The construction of the monument was financed by the Kazakhmys corporation, the cost of the monument with its installation is 7,000,000,000 tenge. It is generally accepted that the place called Uytas-Kumbez on the maps is the very place where a monument to the soldiers who died in the Bulantin battle was erected in the XVIIIth century.
