The memorial complex "Tazym" was opened on May 31, 2015 in the town of Satpayev, Karaganda region, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Sculptors: A. and M. Kalmakhanov, Komutov J., Balabekov K., Architect: Shakhiev E.
The memorial complex was erected as part of the state program for the development of single-industry towns. In terms of plan, the memorial complex has the appearance of a seven-pointed star like the state award “Khalyk Karagarmany”.
The memorial consists of five sculptural compositions: “In memory of the repressed”, “In memory of the rear workers”, “In memory of the participants in the aftermath of the aftermath of man-made disasters”, “In memory of the heroes who died in peacetime” and “In memory of the soldiers of internationalists”.
The statue of a woman with her son, who are holding a plow, was performed by the NGO “Union of Karaganda Artists”. The author of the composition “In memory of the rear workers” is a corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madikhan Kalmakhanov.
The height of the sculpture along with the pedestal is 3.6 meters.
