Tours to Borovoe lakes.

Borovoye 320,9 - 350 meters above sea level is the climate kumys health resort, which is situated in Shuchinsky district of Kokshetau oblast, in 20km of the station Borovoye Resort (Shuchinsk town).
From the north it is surrounded by the Kokshetau mountains with height of 974m above sea level, covered by the birch forests. In the neighboring of the resort there are interesting rocks and cliffs as: “Okzhetpes”, “Sfinks”, “Cow”, “Sleeping knight”, and “Knight”.
The first private kumys health resort was opened in 1910. Average temperature in January is –16’C, in July is +19’C. Atmospheric precipitation is to 400mm. About 2000 sunshining hours per year.
The main medicinal factors are kumys, fresh air and picturesque place. The government has chosen Lake Borovoye to be the site of one of three major tourist developments, to be built as part of a major tourism plan.
The Borovoye Lake Resort was supposed to start construction in 2008, offering modern, high-tech hotel and leisure facilities in a huge project based around the lake, but as of early 2010 its status was still not clear and building had not yet begun.
However, the main road between Astana and Burabay was finished in November 2009 and opened by the President. If and when it does become reality, the idea of buzzing jet-skis and all the other trappings of the modern resort model so popular in the world today will no doubt have its supporters, but gone will be the possibility of tranquillity in that particular natural Eden and, worryingly, questions about the results of any environmental impact assessments remain unanswered, raising the question of how a large increase in infrastructure and volume of people, with the consequent rise in air, noise and water pollution levels, will ultimately affect the environment of "Little Switzerland".
